Which Discovery 2 rack?

Expedition
A rail all the way round keeps smaller boxes, bags and jerry cans on the roof.

Flat
A flat platform with nothing above the base, so it keeps the height down.

Roof tent
A rail around the front only, to protect your roof tent from branches.

Half
A smaller rack for a few bits, such as a spare wheel or a roof box, leaving the rest of the roof clear.

Yes. The Discovery 1 has its own flat, expedition and half racks, and you can design one in the rack builder.
